The Tannenbaum is deepest red

In town yesterday I came across this. Well now I have no time for superstitions and the follies of Xmas leave me cold but this is just plain wrong. A bright red Xmas tree for heavens sake! And still on display after 12th night well now that's just so much bad luck, donchaknow. But as this is Barclay's they're probably too busy fixing the financial indices to notice.

  1. However, the colours of Christmas are generally taken to be red and green. The stylists probably thought that the red went with the existing Barclay's colour scheme.

Would you change the colour of Rudolph's nose?

    1. Rudolph the brown-nosed reindeer ...
There were other red 'trees' on the City Hall as well so it's not a colour scheme thing Julie.

  2. Wow, that really is bright! Gaudy, not exactly tasteful, but it would brighten up a grey day.

  3. If you leave decorations up after Twelfth Night, they have to stay up all year or it's bad luck.
