Red Spot

Came across three trees in East Park suffering from red spot disease, the symptoms are a sudden and catastrophic loss of  all branches and trunk and the appearance of an ominous red spot, it's almost always fatal.

  1. Over here it's emerald ash borers doing that kind of damage to those trees.

  2. We don't see it often. But drought can kill a tree, or over-watering. In 2011 we had a wind storm that felled 100-year-old cedars. I guess it was their time.
