Weeping Ash

Fraxinus excelsior (Pendula)
Coming up to June and every other tree and bush has been busy getting out the greenery whilst the ash seems to be still asleep with barely a bud showing. This fine specimen is on the corner of Spring Bank west and Chanterlands Avenue, in the cemetery as you can see.

The weekend in black and white is here.

  2. That is a fine looking tree. Hope it wakes soon. This tree makes a great b&w photo.

  3. I do notice some trees are considerably later than others here.

  5. "Oak before the Ash, we shall have a splash: Ash before the Oak, we shall have a soak!" So how is the oak doing?
Your photo shows the elegant shape of the ash to perfection.
