Bleak Midwinter

Taken by Margot K Juby
It's January and it's snowing and there's no real surprise in any of that. Only surprise is that anyone would go out in -5C and get their fingers frozen to take photos. Well it wasn't me, I stayed indoors all warm and snug while someone else did the hard work. I suppose a big 'thank you' to Margot is in order.

  1. Call me stupid, but the novelty of seeing something like that would be too much to bear - I'd take your photos! Fascinating!

    1. Erm novelty soon wears off when your toes freeze and your fingers go stiff. Oh and that white stuff turns to a slushy grey muck that makes every step an icy adventure. But you're welcome to come and take some snowy pics any time.

  4. Almost a Christmas card scene. Margot did well. I'm afraid I would also stay home, nice and warm, and just take photos through my window!

  5. My shutter finger still feels a bit numb, but the picture scrubbed up well...

  6. Looks like you've had a bit more snow than us in Nottingham. But it's been just as cold. Was out today taking photos in a local park. Fingers and toes were quite warm for some reason.

  7. Margot did a great job! It's supposed to get really cold here later tonight. I'm not looking forward to walking the dogs in the morning
